ELLEN LEWIS, R.N., M.S.N.

Biography

Ms. Lewis received a Diploma in Nursing from St. Agnes School of Nursing. She received her baccalaureate degree, cum laude, at Marquette University. She received her Masters of Science in nursing degree also from Marquette University. She is the past Assistant Vice Chancellor for the Advancement of Nursing and Allied Health at the University of California, Irvine, Health Sciences. She currently is the California Area Health Education Center Regional Director and Director of the Student Clinical Training Center at the University of California, Irvine. She is also a Standardized Patient Trainer for the National Board of Medical Examiners and the Macy Consortium. She is an Associate Clinical Professor at the University of California, Irvine, College of Medicine and is the Course Director of the Patient Doctor I Course. Some of the numerous honors and awards which Ms. Lewis has received include the Dr. Judith M. Lewis Outstanding Educator Award from California State University, the Founder's Award in recognition of outstanding contribution in the field of disaster medical service, and the Lauds and Laurels Award for Professional Achievement from the University of California, Irvine. Ms. Lewis has published numerous nursing, medical and scientific papers, articles and book chapters. She has also spoken and presented in numerous professional forums.
