C. JAN DYKE, M.D.

Biography

Dr. Dyke received his baccalaureate degree from Yale University. He received his M.D. degree from Cornell University Medical College. He completed a general surgery internship and residency at Walter Reed Army Hospital. Dr. Dyke was previously a Lieutenant Colonel in the United States Army Medical Corps and when he was in the Army, he served as Chief of Surgery at two of the largest MASH hospitals in the combat zone in Vietnam. Dr. Dyke is board certified by the American Board of Surgery. Dr. Dyke is currently a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians. Dr. Dyke has been a member, and is currently the President of the Board of Directors of his County Health Department. Dr. Dyke also served for many years as the Chairman of the Department of Surgery of various local hospitals. He has authored several surgical publications and has a special interest in medical history.
